About Me

Hi and welcome to Images From Norway.
In this blog you will find pictures that I have taken covering a wide variety of themes. These range from wildlife shots, scenic shots, scenes from life, the odd action shot and every now and again, portraiture.

I find my inspiration from the photographic works of such people as Man Ray, Ansel Adams, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Robert Capa, George Roger and David Seymour. The last four, the founders of what is probably the greatest photographic agency ever known - Magnum Photos - left a legacy of reporting photographically the stark realities of life that is carried on by the current members of this great group of photographers.

I was born in 1961 in Chatham, Kent, England. I now live in Lillesand in Aust-Agder, Norway with my wife Gunn who is also an avid photographer. We have two sons, a daughter and two grand-daughters and we are members of our local photography club, the Lillesand Fotoklubb. We are also in the process of becoming members of another local club, BioFoto Sørlandet. A link to whose blog you will find on every page along with some noteworthy others I highly recommend.

Well, that´s enough from me, the point of this blog is for people to enjoy the sights that I am fortunate enough to see and capture and not to hear me prattle on endlessly. I hope that you enjoy the photographs contained in these posts and that you will come back from time to time to see what is new. Please feel free to contact me whenever you want for whatever reason. I invite you to leave comments or suggestions as to layout of the blog or about the photographs themselves, I promise to read every one.

In the meantime, I wish you Peace, Love and endless photo opportunities!
